advice needed: ThymeLeaf w/o Spring

Jonathan S. Fisher
I want to run Thymeleaf without Spring, and instead use CDI and Java EL 2.2.

I'm looking around the source code to find how ThymeLeaf evaluates expressions, but I can seem to find an expression factory or an evaluator anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?

When Spring is not used, Thymeleaf uses OGNL for evaluating "standard expressions".

E.g. ${contact.name} will be evaluated in OGNL as a call to the "getName()" method in context object with name "contact".

Regards,
Daniel.

Hi Daniel,

I'd prefer to use ONGL instead of SPEL in a spring web application...is that possible? If so, how?

Thanks,
Sarala
